The Cycle4Haiti 2014 will have four different starting points and pelotons on the 4th May from Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Carlow, all converging on Athlone for the first evening. On arrival in Athlone you will transported to your accommodation and then brought back to Buccanners RFC for a BBQ and a few well deserved refreshments.
On the Saturday night in Athlone there will be a few sociable drinks at the BBQ and maybe some dancing for anybody that does not have sore legs. The next morning, the 5th May one very big Peloton will leave for Galway city to arrive together for a great celebration!
Everyone is welcome to join our cycle no matter what your fitness level and thanks to the great support team you are minded and cheered on every step of the way. All we ask is that you attend the mandatory training sessions so you can be sure you are able for the cycle and also have a decent road bike for the cycle itself. A safe guide is that if you can cycle 60k in one day you will be able for the cycle.
Last year we had an easier run of it weather wise but you never know what the weather will be like so best to get training in all types of weather. You can find out all the information you need on this year’s cycle throughout the site. Remember to register your interest as soon as possible!
